Dear Readers:
Hi! My name is Vicky Kuang. I’m a 11th grader in Murry Bergtraum H.S. I’m sixteen now and this is the third year I’m learning in Murry Bergtraum also third year in the United States.
I’m a girl who’s out going and talkative. I love to make friends. Even I don’t have so many best friends, but I have a lot of friends to talk with. I’m so outgoing that it helps me to meet a lot of different people, either older than me or younger than me. Actually I don’t think age is a gap between friends. My friends are all different ages. I was being friend with my teachers also. Especially with one teacher who’s in Australia now. She was my teacher when I was in 7th grade in China. We kept on writing letter to each other when she was still in China, but now we lost contact.
When I come to the United States, I was still keeping all my friendships in China. Also, I met a lot of new people here. We are from different countries, different cultures but we can communicate. We are learning same language and same culture.
I have a sister who’s at Upstate for her college. I am planning to go to college also. However, everything got to wait until I finish my classes and pass the English Regent Exam. I was a very good student when I was in Bergtraum for the first two years. When I became a Junior, just last semester. I failed a lot of classes and I absent and cut. That was because of something happened in the summer and affected me so much. In this semester I hope I can make them up. I’m not going to fail any of my classes.
Sometimes I think I’m too out going. I met a lot of people because of that. However, some are really not good for meeting. I know they’re going to bring me to a way I shouldn’t go. I will try to get away from them. The years that I’ve been in the United States I have learned a lot. I really had a lot of experiences. I learned from all my
experiences. I had my first job when I came to the United States. I was when I had been in the United States for half year. That let me know that money is not easy to get. In that time I came to understand what’s "no pain no gain." From the summer till now, I know that everything you do and its result on others.
I’m learning from the classes, growthing from the experiences. Also trying from life. I’m also here for telling all the teenagers to be good. Think about it and go for the way you should go. Of you go in the wrong direction, don’t worry. Stop and go back to the beginning try again. We have enough time to do it, but remember which is the wrong way and don’t go for it any more! Wish you guys good luck!
